Foreign Languages for Tourists

People may have different purposes for learning second/foreign languages and improving their language proficiency. One of the most important reasons for this is of course tourism.

I offer tourists some intensive courses in Survival English, Russian, Ukrainian and German, which help customers master some minimal vocabulary needed in different situations during the travelling including an interview in a consulate and with immigration officers, pass and customs control, checking-in, shopping, meals etc.

First of all, travellers need English because this language has actually become “Latin of the 21st century” as the most widely spoken language in the world. Especially important is English for those people, who spend their vacations travelling individually in other countries. Of course, they need to know some elementary everyday expressions in local languages; however they need not master all those languages. It would be enough if they master the expressions, which could enable a smooth transition from a local language to English (E.g., “Do you speak English?” or “Who speaks English here?”).

The lessons are also possible via Skype. Advantages: individual approach in a virtual contact; no needs to visit a customer or an instructor; full flexibility in time and locations; no limits bound with long distances and different time zones
